Launched in 2004 and originally hosted by Sydney Dance Company at its Wharf studios in Sydney, Cinemoves is an ongoing series of forums dedicated to the exhibition and discussion of dance and movement on film, providing a more casual context for screenings between biennial ReelDance Festivals.
Cinemoves is directed by an organising committee made up of volunteers Anton, Jhuny-Boy Borj and Narelle Benjamin, and aims to increase the accessibility of dance film and video by offering curated programs at no cost to presenters, who are then able to run the screenings free or by gold coin donation to their audiences.
