The ReelDance installation series at Performance Space has been a response to the growing amount of exciting new work in this field that screens the dancing body in newly imagined performance spaces.
Breaking down traditional, fixed configurations between the audience and the moving image is a natural progression for artists negotiating the interface between the moving, dancing body, projection and the viewer. Programmed works have included pre-existing and commissioned works with future plans for international co-commissions.
