Conditions of Entry
All Submissions
  1. Entries must include a completed online submission form and a preview DVD, Quicktime file or minDV
  2. By Submitting your entry, you grant Reelance permission to screen the film as part of the International Dance on Screen Festival 2010.
  3. An quality exhibition copy of the film must be available if selected; more information will be forwarded with notice of selection.
  4. Entries must fall within the following definition: the film or video must contain within its main concerns dance of any description be it human movement, the dance-like movement of inanimate objects, or dance effects achieved through filming or post-production. The ‘dance’ element may be apparent in the subject matter which could be a dance performance or a dance-like treatment of everyday gesture, or the filmic treatment - the movement of the camera, movement effects achieved through editing or abstract motion studies/essays.

Additional Entry Requirements for Submissions to the ReelDance Awards
  1. The team working on the submitted film or video must consist mainly of Australian or New Zealand residents.
  2. The film or video must have been completed after 1 January 2008.
  3. Entries for Best Short Dancefilm or Video must be no more than 40mins max in duration (entries for Best Documentary can be of any length).
 
Additional Information for All Submissions
  1. All applicants will be notified by the end of January 2010.
  2. Exhibition copies of selected films will be posted to the festival at the applicant’s expense, and returned to the applicant at the expense of the festival (including postal insurance).
  3. An artist fee of AU$250 will be paid to the applicant for screenings of the film at the festival’s premiere and tour.
  4. Unless indicated to the contrary on the online submission form, you give ReelDance permission to: (i) include the preview copy of the film within ReelDance’s Moving Image Collection (MIC) and for such copy be made available for viewing by members of the public onsite, within ReelDance’s premises; (ii) include still images and/or an excerpt of my film/s of up to 30secs to be included within, and made available to the public as part of ReelDance’s future online catalogue.
