The ReelDance Awards
invites entries for competition in
Australian and New Zealand Dance Film and Video. Finalists for the
ReelDance Awards are showcased in a special screening as part of the
Festival, and prizes are awarded for Best Short Dancefilm or Video (max
40mins) and Best Dance Documentary as judged by an expert panel of
choreographers and filmmakers.
The team working on the submitted films or videos in the ReelDance
Awards must consist mainly of Australian or New Zealand residents; and
the work must have been completed in the two years between biennial
Festivals.

The General Program
is a curated series of screenings of
international dance films and videos. Shorts, documentaries, music
videos, animations and features are all considered.
Past sessions have included Kidreels, a line up of dance films for
primary school aged children, popular showings of classic dance music
videos, programs of global shorts and documentaries, and the best
international contemporary dance on screen.
