Shelly Love’s work has been described as ‘Otherworldy’, ‘Surprising’, ‘Magical’, ‘Beautifully dark’ and ‘Uniquely choreographic’.
Award-winning UK artist Shelly Love is celebrated worldwide for her subtle and uniquely choreographic dance screen works that are like dropping into a visually poetic feast.
Running parallel to Shelly’s art making is her career as a director of video clips for independent bands and singers such as LadyHawke, The Irrepressibles and Charlotte Hatherley. The Imaginings of Shelly Love is a retrospective of her work that spans across her 15 years of making. ReelDance is pleased to announce Shelly Love as our official international guest. Love will hold workshops in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. Her attendance at the festival is being supported by the British Council, Dancehouse and Strut.
